STEVE MARCUS is a Partner and Board Member at Marquee Capital. He is also Chairman Emeritus of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS). He joined the company in 1962 and served as President from 1980 to 2008 and as Chief Executive Officer from 1988 to 2009. He was elected Chairman of the Board in 1991. Steve Marcus is the son of Ben Marcus, who founded The Marcus Corporation with the opening of his first movie theater in 1935. Mr Marcus has been a strong supporter of industry, business and community organizations for many years and has received numerous awards for his contributions. He received a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
