In 2008, Berengaria Development emerged as the real estate arm of Marcus Investments, specializing in development services for retail companies throughout the United States. Over the years, we have transformed into a respected private real estate investment and asset management company. Our journey has seen us engage in real estate transactions exceeding $800 million, while meticulously building a portfolio with assets under management currently valued at over $400 million.
 
The year 2023 marked a significant milestone in our evolution, as Berengaria Development embraced a new identity: Marquee Capital. Under this new name, we continue to set benchmarks in the real estate sector. Presently, Marquee Capital adeptly manages over 2.5 million square feet of retail space, maintaining an occupancy rate of over 90%. Our portfolio also boasts a collection of senior housing assets, with 650 units that have been developed/re-developed, alongside various joint ventures with sponsors specializing in opportunistic investments.

First closing of Marcus RE Fund II at $36MM+ of commitments to be invested in core retail and value-add seniors housing.

2022

Marcus RE Fund I substantially deployed with ~30M of side car investments allowing for diversification. Senior housing portfolio grows to 560 units with operations in WI, IL, OH, IN, GA, NC and TX.

The Herbst family office becomes a partner in Marquee Capital.

Marcus RE Fund I opens with ~$20M; focused on stabilized cash flowing retail assets.
