Marquee Capital, a real estate company affiliated with Marcus Investments LLC, The Marcus’ Family Office, announced that it has sold Terova Senior Living of Mequon, Wisconsin to Inspired Healthcare Capital (IHC). The transaction took place on May 17th.
Formerly known as Ovation Sarah Chudnow, Terova was constructed in 2005 using the American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin as its inspiration. Between 2020 and 2022, Marquee Capital renovated and repositioned the Community, including converting the skilled nursing and hospice units into memory care units, significant energy efficiency upgrades and an updated food and beverage program. At disposition, the 19-acre campus included independent, assisted living, and memory
Dan Sisel, a partner at Marquee Capital, commented “It’s been such an honor making a positive impact on the lives of the residents and their families at Terova through this turnaround. Being able to provide investment returns in seniors housing, especially in today’s business climate, requires a combination of empathy and sophistication. Our Firm has worked extremely hard to create an operational model where everyone can benefit from the results.”
“The Terova investment for us, as a family, was very personal in nature given the close affiliation we have had over the years with residents and their families at the facility,” said David Marcus,
Head of the Marcus Family Office. “Sometimes an opportunity is presented where you are uniquely qualified to step in an effect change for the better and Terova was just that for us.”
